Dr James Genge graduated in Medicine from the University of NSW, obtaining a further medical research degree with overseas experience in Burma on scholarship.
His specialist training was at Sydney Eye Hospital, after which he undertook advanced surgical training with a Laser Eye Surgery and Corneal Transplant Surgery Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, one of the world’s leading eye institutions.
Dr James Genge has a comprehensive grounding in all aspects of eye care. He specialises in Laser Eye Surgery, Advanced Cataract and Refractive Lens Surgery. As an expert in corneal conditions such as keratoconus, James performs advanced procedures such as corneal cross-linking, corneal rings and corneal transplantation (DMEK, DALK, DSAEK).
He is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology; a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
